Fraternal Order of Eagles

In To This Unfathomable Tragedy, we have established the Eagles "Attack on America Fund" to allow our Aeries, Auxiliaries, and members the opportunity to raise funds to assist those whose lives have been forever altered and scarred by this national crisis.
On February 3, 2003, a check was presented to New York State Governor George Pataki for the victims of 9/11. The check was for $491,000.00.
Presenting the check was Fred Smith, GWP; Carleen Corum, GMP; Ken Penick Grand Aerie Chairman; Pat Gray, NYS President, Judy Gray, PSP; Donald J. Boyle, Lobbyist; Mike Hoblock, Chairman of NYS Racing and Wagering Board; Daryll Messner, NYS R&W; Cheryl Buley, Chairperson - Board of Directors for R&W.The Racing and Wagering Board was invited since they have assisted our organization in raising charity money.

Attending the ceremony from the Eagles and the New York State Racing and Wagering Board which oversees charitable fundraising were: (L to R) Eagle member and registered lobbyist Donald Boyle, NYSR&W Board Member Cheryl Buley, Eagles Attack on America Fund Chairman Ken Penick, PGAO Glenda Giffey, GWP Fred Smith, GMP Carleen Corum, Governor George Pataki, NY State Aerie President Pat Gray and wife Judy, NYSR&W Board Chairman Mike Hoblock,  NY State Aerie Secretary Robert Yager and NYSR&W Board Director Daryll Messner.
Before the presentation to Governor Pataki the group took a tour of the September 11th section of the New York State Museum. More pictures of the presentation and of the Museum tour will be available in the coming days.
